How to write content on web/social media and grow an organic email list by a medical doctor

I struggled with writing content on websites & social media, especially since I don’t have a huge team, and cannot afford to post every day and keep up with everyone. It has been a steep learning curve, and just like I learned from many, maybe someone will benefit from this. So here are some thoughts on what helped me get started and some strategies that worked for me and my business:

1. Learn what kind of content you can create so that people can find you.

Decide which platform is right for you. Write a 1-page document with your organic lead generation strategy. What kind of topic is your target group interested in? Would videos or articles work best? Or a mix of both? Write down 5 foundation articles/videos ideas. Where & how will people find these videos or articles? Choosing which platform you’re going to post your content to is an important decision. Personally, I would always go for a platform where your content can be found through some kind of search feature:

  • Articles on your website: can be indexed by Google and people can still find them years from now.
  • Video on YouTube: it’s the second biggest search engine in the world.
